LOOKING FOR MALE SINGERS FOR AN EPIC SUMMER SHAKESPEARE PRODUCTION

****** LOOKING FOR MALE SINGERS FOR AN EPIC SUMMER SHAKESPEARE PRODUCTION ******

This summer, Philadelphia's Shakespeare in Clark Park (SCP), with Team Sunshine Performance Corporation, is putting together an epic-styled outdoor production of Shakespeare's HENRY IV.  The performance will feature both a 100-person battle scene (performed by volunteer, community members) and a 20-person all-male choir.

The production's choir will be singing all original music in a variety of styles including Eastern-European inspired religious music and chanting, and British-Isles pub songs. The production's Composer and Music Director is Barrymore Award Winner Alex Bechtel.

SCP/Team Sunshine is looking for experienced male singers, preferably with choral experience. Rehearsals and performances take place between July 7-August 3.

*NO AUDITION REQUIRED* All you have to do is fill out an online form with info about your previous singing experience. If we need more of a sense of your ability, we may ask you to submit a brief singing sample. Submissions are due by June 27th.

Go to the HENRY IV CHOIR INFORMATION PAGE AND INTEREST FORM (or check out the attached PDF) for more information about the rehearsal schedule and what to expect as a participant.
